HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY
Hermes Harisiadis was established in 1976 on the dreams, hopes and aims of its founder, Markos Harisiadis. With rigorous efforts and a strategic focus on quality & speed he managed to expand quickly in the ship supply industry. It wasn’t long before everyone understood Hermes was a reliable partner for industrial products & provision supplies.
Next, we expanded into the Marine Hotel, Aviation Catering, and Duty-Free markets of Greece, which were experiencing substantial growth in the early 80’s. Guided by the same principles and a concentration on product quality Hermes Harisiadis established a major share in those markets.
After 2000, we dynamically expanded into the 3PL food and trade market with the acquisition of cold store facilities and the creation of a global trade network. Soon Hermes was a powerful F & B provider for the Greek Hotel & Catering Industries.
in 2014 Hermes Harisiadis established a branch in Istanbul, named “Hermes Bosphorus”. It was an endeavor that expanded our service to the Bosphorus straits, all Turkish ports and the Tuzla & Yalova shipyards.
Through the years, we have remained true to our founding vision by focusing on always being the reliable solution for all existing and new markets.
With an eye on the future, Hermes’ leadership & personnel are developing a culture of Ethical Standards & Sustainable Growth which aligns with the global effort to combat climate change.
Building on the Founder’s core values and lead by his family, the entire team intends to continue striving for the success and ethical development of our organization.
